This pasta hits all the spots! Creamy and lush with a bite of spice from Gochujang sauce. Â
The best part is that it is done in a flash too. We start with browning ½ pound of mild Italian sausage. Remove from pot and set aside, then drop the noodles and work on the sauce. Noodles are very important here and I recommend using thicker noodles that can grip the ingredients. This will give the perfect bite of coated noodles and sausage every time. I love long fusilli, but it is hard to find. Most specialty stores will carry it, or you can buy it online. They are fantastic pasta! Â
I mean just look at them! Another great pasta to use would be rigatoni or cavatappi. Â
Back to our sauce –Â
It is so hard not to chow down the whole pot, because it is just that good! We start with fresh garlic and melted butter. Then goes 1 tbsp. Gochujang and 1/2 cup of marinara. A quick sauté and we cool it down with 1 cup of heavy cream. Let it simmer for a couple minutes and add back our sausage, then finish off by adding our al dente noodles. A nice toss to coat it all and plate with fresh grated parmesan cheese. It is that simple! I bet this ends up on your menu often. Â
Okay let’s get started!Â
