SPICY Pasta with Italian Sausage

This satisfying pasta is so creamy with a Gochujang sauce for a kick of spice! It is so easy to make and sure to be a regular on the menu.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound Mild Italian sausage
  • 1 pound Fusili pasta, rigatoni or cavatappi
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1 tbsp. Gochujang sauce add more if you would like it spicer
  • 1/2 cup marinara
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese plus more for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large skillet or Dutch oven add the Italian sausage over medium heat.
    Cook until browned.
  • Remove and set aside on a plate lined with a paper towel to let the grease drain.
  • In a large pot fill with water to boil the noodles. Add 1 tbsp. of salt.
    Set on high and cook the noodles until al dente.
  • Back to the pan we cooked the sausage in.
    Over medium heat, add the butter. Once its melted add the garlic and saute for 1 minute.
  • Add the Gochujang and marinara.
    Saute for 1 minute while stirring.
  • Next goes the heavy cream. Mix well cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the sausage back to the sauce mix and season with salt and pepper.
    Mix well.
  • Last to the pan is the noodles. Toss well.
  • Remove from heat and pour in 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese. Mix well.
