Easy and Tasty!
That is what this little ditty is. With Spring right around the corner, I have decided I’d like to start showing off some of my simple and family favorite desserts. As with March is in full swing, it seems like our schedules start filling up with more activities. So why not have semi-homemade recipes at your convince that are sure to make you look like a genius? I got you!
Are you seeing that deliciousness?! It is also incredibly simple to make. I buy a already baked pound cake from the grocery store bakery, some mint chocolate chip ice cream and top it off with chocolate syrup. Any kind of syrup you like. Hersey’s is always easy. My favorite all time ice cream is a local brand where I live TILLAMOOK. Sooo good, but of course whatever kind you fancy is perfect.
Again, this is so easy, and will blow your mind!
Here is a fun video for your drooling pleasure.
Ok, let’s get started!
Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream with Grilled Pound Cake!
Ingredients
- store bought pound cake, cut into thick slices
- mint chocolate chip ice cream Tillamook is my favorite!
- chocolate syrup
Instructions
- To start, cut the pound cake into thick, 1 inch slices.
- On a hot cooking surface, grill, griddle, cast iron pan, or even the toaster/oven cook the pound cake slices until golden brown. Don't over toast but we do want that lovely start of a crust forming. About 2 minutes on each side.
- Ok and that's the end of the cooking part.
- To assemble, plate the slice on a plate. Add a big scoop (or 2) of mint chocolate chip ice cream and top with chocolate syrup. THAT IS IT!
- ENJOY!
