SOUPS!

Best Chili

This chili recipe is a MUST make!

Rich and thick chili packed with so much flavor. It’s spicy, robust, and even slightly sweet. The perfect blend of love in a bowl!

Who doesn’t love chili? One of the best comfort foods especially on cold rainy days or potlucks, parties, and game days. I have so many renditions of chili but this one is a favorite for the ease, and it tastes wonderful! The best part of this recipe is you can let it simmer on the stove for 30 minutes then eat or slow cook it in the crock pot and let the flavor develop.

The crock pot method happens often in my home because it’s just so easy. If you are doing the crock pot brown the ground beef, drain the grease and pour it into the crock pot. In goes all the remaining ingredients and, stir and let it do its thing!

One of the ingredients in this recipe is spaghetti sauce. Do NOT skip this step. I like to use basil and garlic or classic marinara spaghetti sauce in the jar, but honestly any of your favorite store bought will do!

So many toppings can be added to give this meal a boost Some of my favorites are:

  • Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Pepper jack cheese, shredded
  • Chopped onions, green or sweet
  • Jalapenos
  • Salsa
  • Hot sauce
  • Tortilla chips
  • Frito chips
  • Doritos

Last but not least is corn bread. You can’t have chili without corn bread! Here is my favorite, it is almost cake like with a soft delicious texture.

Another fun way to serve chili is charcuterie style! This is a hit in my home. Simply lay out all the ingredients onto a charcuterie or cutting board and let everyone dig in!
