Salmon on the grill and summer just go together! This cedar plank salmon is marinated for 30 minutes, then grilled on a cedar plank and finished off with some sweet and spicy sauce!
If you have never used a cedar plank before don’t be intimidated. It’s quite easy and with a few tips you will feel like a pro in no time. Look how beautiful it is.
I use a charcoal grill, Kamado Joe to be exact, but an elecric grill works great too. Before griling with the plank we will have to soak it for at least 1 hour in water. This will keep the wood from burning. I submerge the plank(s) in a large casserole dish and use a heavy bowl to weigh it down. During the time the cedar is soaking we will get the marinade prepped. Before grilling, I sprinkle on seasonings, then top with a lemon slice. Grill at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Grilled to perfection! My favorite way to serve is over garlic mashed potatoes and a side salad. Here is my favorite mashed potato recipe. The BEST Mashed Potatoes Ever!
