Cedar Plank Salmon with Honey-Soy Sauce

An a amazing summer salmon dish grilled on a cedar plank and served with a sweet and spicy sauce!

Equipment

  • cedar plank
  • Grill I use a charcoal kamado joe

Ingredients

  • 2 4 oz salmon fillets
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Marinade

  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp. honey
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 garlic, clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp. ginger paste

SAUCE

  • 2 tbsp soy
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp srirachia

Instructions

  • Soak the plank in a tub/bowl large enough to fit it in. It soaks for 1 hour. 30 minutes in start the marinade.
  • Mix the marinade together in a small bowl. Pour the marinade over the salmon filets in a bowl, (or shallow dish) cover, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • In the mean time, get the grill prepared.
  • Mix together the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • After the marinade is done, oil the plank with some olive oil.
    Then move the fish to the plank. Add a drizle of oil and then sprinkle the seasoing on.
    Add a lemon slice to the top of the fish. Grill for 20 minutes or until the temperature reaches 145°

  • Remove the plank.
    Mix together the sauce ingredients.
    Serve the fish and pour on the sauce.
