The perfect grilling BBQ sauce!
I love this BBQ sauce for 2 reasons, 1 its super tasty and can go practically on anything, and 2 it only takes 20 minutes to make!
Now I know most chefs/BBQ pit masters will say there is no way this has enough flavor at only 20 minutes BUT nay I say, it does! I discovered a few years back when I was in a pinch a little secret I am going to share with you now.
Pizza SAUCE! What? Yeah you read that right. Most marinara or pizza sauces have simmered and developed all the flavor we need to build a base for this delicious sauce. So that in accompaniment with lots of spices and liquid smoke, we have a fantastic sauce that is easy and quick!
I love to use on burgers, chicken, pork, and even Portobello mushroom steaks! It is great for kebabs and whatever else you want to slap it on. It is a staple here in my home year round but Summer is when i keep it available at all times. You just never know when you will need it.
Okay, Let’s get started!

- In a saucepan over medium heat, mix all the ingredients.
- Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. You can let it cook longer if you want the consistency thicker, remember it will thicken as it cools too.
