This mouthwatering gravy is my go to for holiday dishes.
It goes so well with roasted turkey, mashed potatoes and can be used for chicken or pork dishes as well!
I have a lot of friends who have told me they get intimidated with making gravy from scratch and although it is something you have to pay close attention to while making, with a little patience you can be pouring homemade gravy out in no time!

Savory Gravy
Mouthwatering homemade gravy for turkey, chicken, or pork
Ingredients
- 3 cups chicken or turkey broth
- 1 cup red wine
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp rosemary
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Instructions
- In a saucepan over med-high heat pour in 3 cups of broth and the wine.
- Bring to a boil whisking continually. Slowly add the flour and continue to whisk until all the flour is incorporated.
- Continue whisking, turn to medium heat. The liquid will start to thicken.
- Add all of the seasoning and continue whisking until it has thickened enough to coat the back of a spoon.
- Transfer to a gravy dish.
