Dessert Holiday

Red Velvet Cookies!

These lovely cookies always put me in the HOLIDAY mood and are one of my favorite Christmas cookies to bake!

They look so beautiful and the best part is they are so easy and quick to make. About 20 minutes! You really can’t beat that especially with all the hustle and bustle of December.

They look so festive with the red food coloring but don’t let that fool you , these babies are chocolate and so soft and gooey. I like to use a professional food coloring. You can get them online or at most craft stores that carry baking/cake supplies. The potency of the dye varies so just go by what color you are trying to achieve with the amount of dye added to the batter.

A good roll in sugar, a quick bake and boom, Delicious perfect Holiday cookies that are sure to become a family tradition. These are really a great one for the kids to help with too. It’s fun to roll the dough balls in the sugar and makes for a fun evening of memories.

Ok let’s get started!
