1/2tspred food coloring. preferably professional can be found at most craft stores or online like wilton You may need to add more for desired color.
2tspvanilla extract
1 1/2tspbaking powder
1/2tspsalt
1/2cuppowdered sugar
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside
In bowl combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Stir and set aside.
In a separate mixing bowl combine the butter, brown sugar, and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar. With a hand mixer or kitchen aid, mix until light and fluffy. Scrape the bowl down and add the eggs.
Beat well then add the vanilla and food coloring. Mix well.
Combine the flour mix with the wet mix and beat together until well combined,
In a shallow bowl add 1/2 cup of granulated sugar and in a separate shallow bowl add the powdered sugar. Using a tablespoon scoop out the dough and roll into a ball. Next roll the ball in the granulated sugar
Then the powdered.
Continue with all the cookie dough, placing the balls about a inch apart on the baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes or until the cookies have cracked. We want them a little gooey inside still.
