Or potato wedge as others call it.
Jo jo’s are a Pacific Northwest staple and one of my favorite childhood foods.
Fried with spices like paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and egg batter. It creates a crispy outside and creamy delicious middle.

You can find them at grocery deli’s, bars, and gas stations all over the PNW.
My recipe is really easy and has a fried chicken style batter that is soooo yummy,
easy to make, and a even better to eat!
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce. I like fry sauce.
1/2 cup mayo & 1/4 cup ketchup.

Crispy outside and creamy middle, these tasty fried thick cut potato wedges are a dream side!
Equipment
- Fryer or Dutch oven Any pot deep enough to fry safely will do
Ingredients
- 3-4 russet potatoes, peeled, and cut into wedges
- 1/2 cup flour gf can be used
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 3/4 tsp lemon pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- In 2 bowls mix the dry ingredients all together and beat the egg in the other bowl.
- Heat a deep or fryer/Dutch oven to 375° with vegetable oil. (About 3 inches)
- Dip the potatoes in the egg .

- Then into the flour batter

- Coat well and shake off excess.

- Fry in small batches until golden. About 5-7 minutes. Move to cooling rack or on paper towels.
- Serve hot with favorite dipping sauce. I love to make fry sauce. 1/2 cup mayo1/4 cup ketchup

OMG best Jo Jo’s Ever . The only thing I did different was double fry ,3 min on. 325* Put in 225 * oven while frying next batch .Switch and do 350,- 75 * for 3 min. THANKS THE BEST 😄
