Crispy outside and creamy middle, these tasty fried thick cut potato wedges are a dream side!

Equipment

  • Fryer or Dutch oven Any pot deep enough to fry safely will do

Ingredients

  • 3-4 russet potatoes, peeled, and cut into wedges
  • 1/2 cup flour gf can be used
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 3/4 tsp lemon pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  • In 2 bowls mix the dry ingredients all together and beat the egg in the other bowl.
  • Heat a deep or fryer/Dutch oven to 375° with vegetable oil. (About 3 inches)
  • Dip the potatoes in the egg .
  • Then into the flour batter
  • Coat well and shake off excess.
  • Fry in small batches until golden. About 5-7 minutes. Move to cooling rack or on paper towels.
  • Serve hot with favorite dipping sauce. I love to make fry sauce.

    1/4 cup ketchup
