THIS is my go to comfort meal. It takes only moments to prepare and is so satisfying on the tongue.
I don’t know about you but sometimes all I want is a no fuss, simple dish that soothes the soul. I am absolutely obsessed with the fresh herbs, garlic, and red pepper flakes. I love using thick rice noodles because they have the perfect mouth feel. A wholesome delicious bite!
These linguine noodles are prefect. Plus they only take 6 minutes to cook. Everything is tossed together in a bowl and boom! Ready to devour. You can eat by itself or as a side to any Asian style dish you like.

Garlic Chili Oil Noodles
Rice noodles tossed with hot oil, garlic, fresh herbs, and spices. It makes the perfect quick comfort food!
Servings: 4 servings
Ingredients
- 8 ounces Linguine rice noodles. They come in a 16 ounce package. So use half unless you are doubling the recipe
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 2 tbsp cilantro, finely minced
- 1 heaping tsp. garlic, minced
- 1 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tbsp. black sesame seeds You can use white but the black have more flavor and a stronger crunch.
- 1/2 - 1 tsp. cayenne pepper 1/2-1 tsp depending on how spicy you like it. I usually do 1/2.
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 3 tbsp. light soy sauce I use low sodium
- 2 tsp rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup Neutral oil. I use Avocado oil.
Instructions
- Prep by getting the green onions and cilantro chopped.
- In large bowl add the green onions, cilantro, cayenne pepper, black pepper, garlic, sesame seeds, soy, and rice vinegar.
- In a small saucepan add 1/4 cup oil. Cook on low and move to the next step.
- Now get a large pot filled with water and get it boiling.
- Add half the package of noodles to boiling water, Cook, while stirring every once in a while so they don't stick together. Cook for 6 minutes and then drain.
- Toss the noodles in with the other ingredients and top with the hot oil.
- Mix well and then serve.
