Garlic Chili Oil Noodles

Rice noodles tossed with hot oil, garlic, fresh herbs, and spices. It makes the perfect quick comfort food!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Linguine rice noodles. They come in a 16 ounce package. So use half unless you are doubling the recipe
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2 tbsp cilantro, finely minced
  • 1 heaping tsp. garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tbsp. black sesame seeds You can use white but the black have more flavor and a stronger crunch.
  • 1/2 - 1 tsp. cayenne pepper 1/2-1 tsp depending on how spicy you like it. I usually do 1/2.
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 3 tbsp. light soy sauce I use low sodium
  • 2 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Neutral oil. I use Avocado oil.

Instructions

  • Prep by getting the green onions and cilantro chopped.
  • In large bowl add the green onions, cilantro, cayenne pepper, black pepper, garlic, sesame seeds, soy, and rice vinegar.
  • In a small saucepan add 1/4 cup oil. Cook on low and move to the next step.
  • Now get a large pot filled with water and get it boiling.
  • Add half the package of noodles to boiling water, Cook, while stirring every once in a while so they don't stick together.
    Cook for 6 minutes and then drain.
  • Toss the noodles in with the other ingredients and top with the hot oil.
  • Mix well and then serve.
