Christmas Tree Charcuterie

charcuterie board
All the favorites we love to enjoy on a cheese board but in a fun Christmas tree shape.

This is more of a fun guide instead of recipe, but I will give some tips in hopes it inspires you to make one yourself this holiday season. I love to start with an easy outline of a tree and then fill it with meat like peppered salami. A simple fold and stack technique works well and just let it go down the center of the tree, then fill in around it.

Look how it is starting to take shape here. I love to use long slices of cheese to make the tree shape and cubes to fill in and keep the salami in place. Fill in the branches with your favorites to snack on. I like to add nuts, berries, and herbs for greenery.

Look how pretty that is! A star cookie cutter in a few sizes makes the tree topper and ornaments. Serve with your favorite cracker and bread. I love a good dip like Kelly’s Jelly Habanero Jelly, tomato bruschetta, and honey.

Here is a list of what I used for this board –

  •  Chipotle gouda
  • Cubed gouda
  • Cheddar
  • Extra sharp white cheddar
  • Salami/peppered salami
  • Sugared pecans
  • Pistachios
  • Dried cranberries
  • Fresh blueberries
  • Green olives with pimentos
  • Habanero jelly
  • Crackers
  • Fresh rosemary
  • Fresh thyme

Have fun and Happy HOLIDAYS!
