The BEST Banana Bread

banana bread

Sweet and soft bread with the perfect crunchy topping. This is easily my favorite recipe for banana bread. You will be using 4 ripe bananas; I always buy a bit extra at the beginning of the week and by Thursday they are ripe and ready to use. The perfect ripeness is when the skins are browning, and the bananas are mushy.

My son’s favorite part is that little topping I add right before baking. Butter mixed with brown sugar, a little flour, and cinnamon.  It creates a caramelized sweet glaze that really makes them extra special! The almond slices are optional, but I love how pretty they look and the added texture.
