Servings: 6 servings
- 1 cup fresh squeezed or cold pressed lemon juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 5 cups filtered water
- 1/4 tsp fresh lavender blossoms or if 1 tbsp dried
- Fresh sprigs for garnish
Heat 2 1/2 cups of water on high heat in a saucepan until boiling.
Remove from the heat and add the honey. Mix until dissolved. Now add the sugar. Mix until it also has dissolved.
Put the lavender in tea ball and let steep in the honey/sugar mix for 20-30 minutes. Depending on how strong of a lavender flavor you want to achieve. If you don't have a tea ball just add the lavender and strain out the blossoms. Discard the blossoms.
In pitcher, add the lemon juice, Infusion mixture, and 2 1/2 cups of cold filtered water.
Put in the refrigerator until ready to use.
To serve, add ice to a glass, and pour the lemonade over. Garnish with a lavender.
ENJOY!
