Cherry Cobbler

cherries, frozen or fresh
if frozen, let sit out for 10-20 minutes

Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°
In a medium bowl combine flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix and set aside
In a 9 x 13 inch baking dish, line with parchment spray with non stick spray. If you don't have parchment, just spray well.
In a mixer or hand mixer/bowl, add butter and 1 cup of sugar. Mix until creamy.
On medium speed, alternately add the flour mix a milk. Mix and add the vanilla.
Mix
Pour the batter into the baking dish. Spread evenly. Then in a bowl add the cherries, 1/2 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar.
Mix and pour on top of the batter and spread until evenly covered.
Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden.
Sprinkle with powder sugar and top with whipped cream! A nice scoop of vanilla ice-cream goes well too!
