Creamy pesto spread that melts into French bread slices and makes the BEST appetizer or addition to a meal.
This is one of my favorite ways to jazz up garlic bread. I have been making it for 15 years and always get asked for my recipe. It is great for last-minute guests too.
Pesto-
You can make fresh basil pesto or store bought. Here is my recipe for homemade. 10 minute Basil- Pesto Sauce
A nice fresh French loaf makes this extra delicious. Most store bakeries have them ready daily. Now my biggest complaint about garlic bread is when it gets mushy… That will not be an issue here as I have a tip to create a perfect crunch and chewy bite. After slicing the bread, we will broil it until it is golden brown.
Flip then add pesto spread and bake until golden and bubbly. YUMMM!
Okay let’s get started.

- ¼ cup plus 2 tbsps. of fresh grated parmesan cheese
- Pinch of Kosher salt
