Orangesicle Smoothie

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. It always has been and even tho I love a grand savory dish my tummy and scale don’t always approve. During the week my go to breakfast is delicious fresh smoothies! Not only are they light on the digestive system, they are great for people on the go and you can get all the vitamins you need in one glass.

Most people I know drink smoothies in the mornings and I know there are TONS of recipes floating around out there but I thought I’d share some of my tried and true favorites.

In addition to flavor I am very picky about texture. I just cannot blend a salad in glass and drink it. Now i do incorporate some greens in my smoothies just not a whole head of lettuce HA!

Along with flavor and texture I drink with a purpose. #smoothieswithapurpose I have crohn’s disease, arthritis, fibromyalgia, and migraines. These effect me everyday and what I put in my body needs to count. I have a hard time absorbing nutrients so this ensures I am getting those essential vitamins we all need to have a healthy body and mind.

This particular smoothie is not only packed with vitamin c but oranges have antioxidants that help with inflammation and fight free radicals in diseases. Not to mention they do wonders for skincare! A esthetician friend of mine told me if i only buy one face cream ever again make sure it has vitamin c in it. Don’t have to tell me twice! Hee hee.

Along with oranges this has banana. Bananas help aid in digestion, they are great for skin, and help make you feel full which is an important part of getting started and keeping energy until lunch time. I did name it orangesicle for a reason, it tastes so delicious!

Lets get started!
