These air fried wings with lemon pepper/buffalo wing sauce are crispy and INSANELY flavorful!
Not only are they PACKED with flavor but because we are air frying them, they are done in a flash. We preseason the wings, cook and then toss them in the sauce. I love to make this sauce for chicken tenders and for chicken sandwiches. (That recipe is coming soon)
The best part of this sauce is you get the lemon pepper spice and the spicy buffalo in one!
Okay, let’s get started!
Ingredients:
Wings
- 1 lb bone in wings (discard wing tip)
- 1 tsp lemon pepper (salt free)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
Sauce
- 1 cup buffalo sauce (I use Frank’s red hot)
- 4 tbsp butter
- ½ tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ cup honey
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon pepper seasoning
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
Directions:
Wings-
- In a dish/bowl add the wings and all the seasonings listed.
- Toss to cover well and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the air fry at 360ÌŠ .
- Line the air fryer with the wings, careful not to overlap each other.
- Cook the wings for 10 minutes then flip them with tongs.
- Cook for 10 minutes more. Shake the basket while cooking.
- To finish- turn the temperature up to 390ÌŠ and cook for 5-6 minutes more. This will crisp up the skin!
Sauce-
- In a saucepan over medium heat, add the butter and melt it.
- Now the remaining wing ingredients.
- Mix well and heat until all is combined. About 4 minutes.
- Toss the wings in a large bowl with as much sauce as you ‘d like.
- Reserve some sauce  to pour on the top of the wings if you would like.
- Serve with ranch or blue cheese.
- ENJOY!
