Provolone, ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan makes up this cheesy goodness!
The classic Italian-American casserole dish has to be a top contender for comfort food. I feel like everyone of us growing up had some version of Ziti made by mom. If you can find the ziti noodle it has a appetizing and fulfilling texture. If you cannot a penne is a great substitute.
Admit-ably the dish does take a bit of time but well worth the effort. Al dente ziti layered in a baking dish.
Provolone
Next ricotta cheese.
Followed by a lovely beef, spaghetti sauce, and sauteed onion/garlic mix is what we will be layering the casserole dish with next.
Remaining pasta and Mozzarella
Finish with the meat sauce and Parmesan.
BAKE for 30 minutes, rest for 10 minutes
Now serve
Doesn’t that look scrumptious?
