Red Lobster dupes!
These biscuits will have your biscuit doing a happy dance with each bite! They are chewy, buttery and covered in delicious herbs. I serve as a side on many holidays. They are a perfect accompaniment to homemade soups, and I even cover these bad boys in gravy for brunch!
For those of you who are eating or are GF, Keto here is my keto version with keto gravy that is delicious! Cheddar Biscuits and Gravy -Keto style
Ok let’s get baking!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar, shredded
Topping
- 3 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 450 °F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl mix the first 4 ingredients.
- In a second bowl combine the remaining ingredients and whisk well.
- Slowly add the flour mixture folding in. (add a bit more milk if its too dry)
- With a large spoon or 1/4 cup measuring cup, scoop and place batter on the baking sheet at least and inch apart.
- Cook for 10-15 minutes.
- While the biscuits are baking, mix up the topping.
- Remove when they are a light golden brown.
- While still warm brush the tops with the butter mixture.
- ENJOY!
