CORNbread Chili Waffles!

What is better than cornbread? CORNBREAD WAFFLES!!

This is honestly the definition of comfort and its so fun to eat and serve. Who doesn’t want cornbread in each bite of chili? I know I do. This beauty is  made with my honey cornbread that is sooo yummy and my favorite Italian chili.

Fall is here friends and THIS is the dish of the season.

Recipes for both

I have attached both of  my recipes for the chili and cornbread. See notes below.

For the chili you can follow the instructions and make it in the crockpot or toss all the ingredients in a soup pot and cook on medium low for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Stir frequently.

Cornbread Waffles – To make the waffles add 1/2-3/4 cup more milk so it is a waffle/pancake style batter. Heat a waffle maker, spray with a cooking spray, and pour on 3/4 cup- 1 cup of batter on the waffle maker. Cook for 5-6 minutes . Repeat with all the batter until it is gone.

Serve with shredded cheddar, and green onions. You can add sour cream, hot sauce, or whatever you fancy.

Makes 5 servings.
